Love Tea …

Mr Magpie and I have a getaway planned for February

(this time we will remember to take our traveling tea cup along)

as I won’t be able to join you all for the next couple of Tuesdays  I thought I would share some Love now…

the Heidelberg Pastry Shoppe is a place we enjoy visiting now and again even if it is not exactly in our stomping ground…

wish I could show you the array of heart cookies they were offering the other day…

we brought this one home …

so pretty and no two were alike…

someone certainly was having fun doodling with icing …

wishing you a very happy Tea on Tuesday with special thanks again to sweet Estivalia for making it so I have Kimmie’s Tea badge on my sidebar above…

also sending some Happy Birthday Love to a very sweet and special friend today…

There is no remedy for love
but to love more.”

birthdays in our family can last a nice long while…

to get my party started I decided to give away two copies of the current issue of SEW Somerset

for your chance to win all you need to do is leave one comment at this post BEFORE 19 December…

everyone is most welcome…

two winners will be randomly chosen and announced on Monday, 19 December OXO

button cuff completa…

after a lovely visit to the country with my friend Dot and seeing her cuff below I was inspired all over again by buttons …

she kindly sent me home with a blank black elastic cuff stitched and ready to be decorated …

I finally got busy yesterday while watching a little Doc Martin on tv…

it really IS fun to pick through buttons

I like keeping mine in jars

they look like candy…

I have two weddings to go to this month…

my new button cuff may be just the thing to go with my little black dress…

if I made another one I would sew each button on and knot it individually…

I bet that’s what Dot did…

there are about 40+ buttons on my cuff…

a very Happy Birthday to my sister and to my sweet Onkel Sepp (both do not read my blog) AND also to Marit my special bloggie art sister who has some really exciting news to share here

it is Gandhi’s birthday too…

Happy Birthday Big Boy!

On a blazing hot day twenty years ago a beautiful precious baby boy was born.

It was a planned home birth; a perfect day to stay put and out of the 100+ degree temperatures. We are so blessed.

Snow on my birthday = Yippee!!!

5Dec07 Snowfall out the windowIt’s been a lovely day where all plans went out the window!

A fun day full of surprises!snowy blue spruce branch out front

It has snowed 4 times in the last 6 years on 5 December here in the Washington DC area!

I really love snow! The smell of it, the sound of it and the way it has of magically transforming everything it touches!Trina teapot Card
