inspiration for these art journal pages began with an ArtChix Studio 2002 BLUE Image sheet… I am always drawn to cyanotype images…
the small squares are from a resized photo of an inchie collage I made a few years ago…
my blue Stabilo pencil came in handy for shading along with a bit of musical tape so I am joining with Art Journal Journey’s February challenge “If Music Be the Food of Love“…
“I met a girl who sang the blues, And I asked her for some happy news, But she just smiled and turned away” -Don McLean
Such pretty pages! We are now resizing our inchies, I see! hee hee!

Even in blue you are achieving the perfect vintage touch which the most artists just can get with the help of brown! Just unique this spread in it’s blue and textured elegance and I am in love with that amazing flying doorway as well!
What a wonderful Sunday morning for me to begin the day with amazing art!
Thank you for this and thank you for the beautiful piece meant for
Art Journal Journey!
Happy Sunday liebe Patty!

This is gorgeous, and I loved the cyanotype images. Ironically, I was talking about ARTchix today, too. Too bad they no longer have a lot of their beautiful things they were so famous for.
Your spread is beautiful, I love the music tape, and the lace is the perfect embellishment. Now all I can say is “Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie!!”

I had this Artchix sheet and I remember it well. I love cyanotype prints too, and what a cool spread you made using them. I love the little music you added to this page- I think the woman above the music could easily be an opera star from her outfit. 🙂

So very stunning in all their blue beautiful tones, and I totally love the woman you created in cyanotype style. Is it a print Patty, or how did you do it . The doorway to heaven is so wonderful, and the keys already given to this lovely woman. You are an expert in blue tones, my dear friend.

What a fun flying door with its lacy hat, and I see it needs three keys to open it. Lovely blue art, Patty.

Absolutely stunning work. I still have that sheet from the Artchix studio from years ago – they used to have the most amazing images and goodies, I do miss them. I love how you’ve kept the palette simple, it’s so very effective and gives the work a wonderful wintery feel.
