February is known as “heart month”…
St Valentine’s Day and heart health awareness are a couple of reasons…
as it happens two very special people close to my heart were born in February (Mr Magpie and Alex)…
I have a HE♥RT Category for my blog posts that have hearts in them…
back in the 1990’s I had a little business called “Works of the Heart” and I sold hand woven baskets… orphan pieces of china filled with dried flowers and herbs… wreaths and decorations made out of dried fruits… cinnamon ornaments and more (this photo shows me along with a small sampling of my wares … WOW those glasses)…
then life took a drastic turn and everything changed…
I recently had fun playing with hearts and paper and paint and enjoyed making a few cards…
Mr Magpie picked up that sweet Angel Vine heart and tiny pot of pink roses for me beating the 14 February flower rush…
here’s wishing you a very Happy T Day along with everyone over at Elizabeth’s Altered Book Lover…
thank you very much for your visits…
you help fill my he♥rt again and again…
The green of your plants makes me happy-lucky you to get that pretty heart shaped plant. So many hearts…all so pretty! Have a Happy T Day!

I tried to leave a comment earlier, but my old, slow computer froze up and I am just now getting back online.
What an amazing blast from the past. Your glasses are now back in style! Looks like you have always been crafty and great at flower arranging.
Your hearts stole my heart today, because I have not even started my Valentine cards yet. Guess they will now have to be Easter cards. I especially enjoyed the corrugated cardboard. It always seems to fit with every style.
I’m so glad you are making art because I know that can sometimes be difficult this time of year for you. These hearts show how you have gotten into the spirit of the holiday.
I was surprised to see so many people talking about ARTchix, since I hadn’t thought about them for ages until yesterday. All of a sudden there were three people besides myself who mentioned them. Yes, I had seen their Etsy shop, but they also are listed on others, like Somerset. I found about eight different sites that sell their digital sets, but only etsy sells their art pieces. Still, no German scrap, or the funky playing cards they were so famous for. Thanks for sharing your info, though.
Thanks also, for the lovely hearts, the beautiful floral arrangements, and your cups with us for T this soon-to-be Tuesday,

Mr. Magpie is so thoughtful to have already given you those two beautiful gifts!
Your heart cards are really lovely. Other than a wall hanging I made for my husband, I hardly do any Valentine creating–just a couple of cards.
Thank you for sharing this lovely post

I wish there was a better word than romantic for your style and posts. And your husband definitely know how to pick out gifts he know you will love. Back in the 1990’s – now I really had to laugh at that. I thought you were going to say back in the 1800’s. You are so cute! Love your glasses!!

Again, so much goodness here that I had to come back a second time (and maybe a third).
Your first photo made my heart beat faster with the gorgeous pinks and the pale orange. And the blue heart, with the image of the boy – swoon.
I’ve got a pair of spectacles just like yours, also bought in the nineties, they look terrific on you.
Every single picture/photo here shows such tremendous art and good spirit.
Mr. Magpie is a treasure (I’ve said that before).
Then the beautiful cards, the corrugated card, the lovely colours of the hearts…….!

A beautiful photograph from the 1990s. You brought back a memory for me of when I was about 16 (before I started to wear contacts), and my glasses were huge!
Beautiful cards in such scrumptious colours.
Mr Magpie is the sweetest soul, that vine heart is so pretty as are the roses.
Another post with heart.
