last year around this time I shared the fun of making this delicious plum cake with you here…
there is a link for the recipe there too if you are interested…
I have been off my game lately when it comes to taking photos and being connected on line…
but I did take a photo of the Plum Torte that Mr Magpie and I whipped up over the weekend…
letting it rest overnight after baking as recommended is not easy when the house is full of delicious cake smells…
but like so many things we have to wait for in life it was worth it in the end and so delicious…
joining everyone over at Elizabeth’s T Stands for Tuesday to wish you a happy day…
Oh yes ! This delicious cake again!!! And it seems your porch is ready – isn’t that last image showing the new room?! Perfection!
Happy T-Day dear Patty!

Ah, plum torte. I’ve never made it and never had it. Plums are not big here, like apples and pecans. But I am in LOVE with all your photos and was so glad that you joined us for T this week.
I adore the Paris/France inspired mugs. They are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing them, as well as your torte with us for T this Tuesday. And I was delighted to see yet another area of your beautiful newly remodeled and enclosed room in your house.

Forgot to ask if your son made it home before the storm hit the east coast. I hope he and YOU are safe from harm’s way. I worry because I know it hit southern Virginia, and wasn’t sure where it went after that.

Your little stage sets are magical (that word again) – the one with the quiet little bird, the one with the sad lady and the one with the stool of the lovely blue.
Have a peaceful and happy rest of the week, Patty.

Your new room looks so lovely and inviting…just the place to share some tea and plum cake. Is that a huge rabbit’s foot fern in the last picture? I am amazed that it looks so good growing indoors.

Oh plum torte! Yummy! Can I have another piece please? I make it too when plums are in season. I regret that I haven’t put any in the freezer, but there is never any left!
I just looked at your recipe and it is the same one that I use from the NY Times (Marian Burros).
Your French mug is very pretty and I love that centre piece place mat.
And your new room looks divine. So light. (I love your ferns. Are they doing OK in all that light?)
Happy T-Day,
Have a good week,
Blessings,
Lisca

I’m a birdie person so my favourite Is your wonderful birdhouse.
Not been online that much either as been making busy Christmas cards and decorations, gardening and de-cluttering – currently going through loads of LP’s before donating them to charity shop. (they already had 240 of them a week ago) amazing how things accumulate over the years 🙂
Hope your week going well… Gill xx
