playing with paints led me to my dress this month … Mr Magpie described it as diaphanous … as much as paper and paint can be … I keep having 3D ideas for my dresses but decided to keep it flat this month …
with lots of layers of paint and gesso … a little rubber stamping and some painted lace trim with waxed linen for a sash …
another month of fabulous creativity over at Margaret’s Alice and Camilla Dress Up … so much imagination and talent there …

“Then followed that beautiful season… Summer….
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light …..”

WordPress Sidebar Update: Yippee … Like magic all of the links reappeared on my sidebar this morning … earlier this week things went a bit wonky for me … now all I have to do is sort out the duplicate bits … I really was lost without all of my links!
I have been pretty happy with WP for the most part … they would be close to perfect if they offered the cool updated blog link feature that other blog providers have 😉
Note: my book giveaway ends Sunday … pop on by if you are interested
So glad you are back in ‘business’…blogwise. Look forward to each month’s creations. I cut back all my lavender since the Post said it was time and maybe there will be a repeat bloom in September.

When I first saw the wardrobe back in January, I thought you were hanging these beauties. Now I see you are packing them away in an incredible steamer trunk. This one is really lovely, and looks so wonderful lined up with all the others. I like the stamping treatment that add that extra embellishment, too.
BTW, blogger was playing with me today, just like WP did with you yesterday. I now have the missing photo problem corrected in today’s post.

Oh, my gosh! I am so glad they are back!!! I was really feeling badly for you.
Patty, I love that dress and I want you to enlarge it and make me a bigger one to wear to a wedding in Croatia. I am just beside myself trying to find something and they wear dresses to weddings! I long for the days of fewer pounds and skinnier arm tops! It is really adorable and looks like a wonderful piece of art.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,

Woowee another gorgeous dress (and the one you’ve just posted about for another challenge). They all look so beautiful together. They would look lovely pinned up on a pretend washing line, you could take a stylish photo of that couldn’t you, what with your fab photography skills?
Love your rainy day garden photos and that wonderful doodled horse you made.
I wish google reader could read wordpress properly (it won’t show the photos) as I can’t read your blog in google reader which I use all the time because it makes reading lots of different blogs easy peasy. Technology is great but…
